IT has been “manic May” for WI members and friends, beginning with the resolutions meeting to discuss the closure of libraries and mega farming.
Then it was an indoor games evening which was attended by neighbouring WIs and friends.
The regular pub lunch at the Cob House was next to be followed by the fund-raising jazz night led by John Hallam and his colleagues from the USA. This was a sell out and everyone enjoyed the music and fish and chips supper.
The group meeting evening Pimms and Puddings will take place on Wednesday.
This brings us to June and our meeting on Wednesday, June 1, when we will be hearing about the Lighter Side of Local Government by David Withey. It starts at 7.30pm in Rushwick Village Hall.
