SYNOPSIS: BILLIE is a girl with a BIG problem - her mum's getting married again, to an OLD MAN! Billie doesn't think she belongs in this new family, with her embarrassingly bald and uncool stepfather, and her posh stepsister. She'd much rather live with her best friend, Archie, whose parents are young and trendy. Perhaps they'd like to adopt Billie...? With her head in the clouds, Billie becomes a girl on a mission. Will she come back down to earth with a bump?
REVIEW
by Tegan Goulbourne, age 9
Published by Usborne Books, ISBN: 978-0746067550, paperback, RRP £4.99.
Billie’s annoyed about having an old man for a father. She thought up a plan to get adopted by Archie’s parents.
I think it’s a great story with a happy ending, and I would happily read it again.
I think it’s suitable for children aged 8-11.
