A TRIO from Worcestershire have gone the extra mile to help fight poverty and injustice in the developing world.
Amanda Badger, of Church Lench, near Evesham, left on Saturday, May 7, for her 15-day cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats and was due to finish yesterday.
She hopes to raise funds for ActionAid through her efforts.
Mrs Badger was joined by cycling companions Peter Williams and Stephen Protherough.
They were accompanied by friend Malcolm Argyle in a support vehicle for the first five days, after which Mr Williams returned home.
Mrs Badger and Mr Protherough continued to the finish line with the help of friend Dave Burns in his caravan.
Mrs Badger, aged 48, said: “The whole point of this ride is to achieve a goal, get fit, discover our isle, have some time off work and enjoy our health.
"At the same time, it is going to be pretty hard work, work that is worthy of raising some funds for charity.”
