RAMBLERS and dog-owners can now enjoy a delightful walk between Droitwich and Worcester, thanks to a new path.
Officers from the county council’s countryside service have improved access between the two areas with the creation of a pedestrian access link.
Situated at the point where the Droitwich Canal meets the river Severn and Lock Lane at North Claines, the new link joins up two existing paths.
This means people can walk continuously on the route from Droitwich to Worcester where previously they would have met a dead-end. The work has been done by the council as part of the Droitwich Canal Restoration Project which is restoring 12km of local waterways and improving access for waterways traffic at the Droitwich Canal.
