Worcestershire coroner Mr Geraint Williams has today opened the inquests into the deaths of two women who died on the M5 motorway on Friday.
Audrey Kathleen Louise Buddle, aged 68, and Maureen Jones, aged 66, were both from Holmes Chapel in Crewe, Cheshire.
Mrs Jones was driving her car southbound on the M5 motorway between junctions 3 and 4 when a lorry travelling in the opposite direction crashed through the central reservation and smashed into the vehicle. Audrey Buddle was a passenger in the car.
The inquests were adjourned to a future date.
