WORCESTER has been chosen as one of the few cities to host the 2012 Olympic torch.
Torchbearers will carry the flame from Land's End to 70 destinations across the UK, arriving in the Faithful City on Thursday, May 24, 2012.
Worcester will be the first of four locations in the West Midlands to receive the honour as part of the Olympic torch relay in the run up to London 2012.
The occasion will be marked with a community celebration showcasing local talent, culture and heritage.
