WORCESTERSHIRE schoolchildren have chosen their favourite book.
Boys Don’t Cry by Malorie Blackman was picked as the winner of Worcestershire’s teen book award. Young poet laureate Laura Dedicoat revealed the winner chosen from a shortlist by more than 400 pupils from 14 Worcestershire schools as part of a scheme launched by Worcestershire Schools’ Library Service.
Children voted for their winner online. Pictured are Nunnery Wood High School pupils Alistair McFarlane, Abi Finn and Ben Fuller browsing through the six shortlisted books for this year's award.
