HUNDREDS of schoolchildren will be coached by some of the region’s most successful sports men and women at the University of Worcester’s annual Learning Through Sport day tomorrow.

The University has teamed up for the fourth year with Worcestershire’s best professional sports clubs and leading energy company npower.

Children from schools across Herefordshire and Worcestershire will be at the university for a day full of sporting and educational activities, this year with the support of Worcestershire County Cricket Club and Worcester Wolves basketball club.

During the afternoon the children will visit Worcestershire County Cricket Club’s ground at New Road for the county’s game versus Durham and will have the opportunity to play kwik cricket during the lunch interval.

During the afternoon session, the children will be given a fun match analysis task and will also have the chance to visit the Aztec climbing wall and the university’s mobile Motion Performance Centre.
