A FUTURISTIC car designed by a pupil from a Worcester school has been shortlisted in a national competition.
Georgia Lee, aged 10, from Perdiswell Primary School, impressed judges from tyre manufacturer Bridgestone with her creative plan for a recycled car powered by wind and recycled rubbish.
The design was part of a green machine school competition.
Fifteen primary schools throughout England, Scotland and Wales have been shortlisted for the final.
The winning pupil will receive £500 for their school and a large set of tyres which can be used as raised beds to grow plants, vegetables and flowers.
Andy Dingley, communications manager at Bridgestone, said: “We had a fantastic response from the schools involved and every child who entered should be extremely proud of their efforts.”
