CHILDREN have been celebrating the opening of a play area in their Worcestershire village.
WM Housing Group donated two benches and a table underneath a pitched wooden roof to form a new play area in Pound Lane, Clifton upon Teme.
It also arranged for windows, provided by builders Thomas Vale Construction, to be fitted to the Scout hut. WM Housing built an affordable eco-friendly housing development of 10 houses and four bungalows in Pound Lane on behalf of Nexus Housing, which is part of the group.
Development project manager Nick Edge was invited to plant a 14ft oak tree at the entrance to Pound Meadow on April 30. He said: “As well as providing homes for people living in the village and surrounding parishes, we are always keen to give something back to the wider community.
“The play equipment, windows and tree are our way of benefiting more than just the people living in our new homes.”
