A MAN who called his ex-wife 52 times in eight-and-a-half hours has been made the subject of a restraining order.
Rafal Chrzaszcz, aged 35, admitted harassment without violence when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court.
Matt Dodson, prosecuting, said the couple’s relationship had come to an end about 18 months before the harassment began in November last year.
But it was from March – when Mrs Chrzaszcz started a new relationship – that it escalated.
Mr Dodson said that between 2pm and 10.30am on Wednesday, April 6, Chrzaszcz, of Port Street, Evesham, made 52 calls to her mobile phone and also sent a text, the content of which was perceived as a death threat.
Chrzaszcz was given a six-month community order and 80 hours’ unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £75 compensation to his wife and costs of £85.
A restraining order for 12 months protecting his ex-wife was imposed.
