HUNDREDS of people are preparing to take to the hills for an annual charity walk.
About 250 entrants have already signed up to take part in the Malvern Hills Walk for St Richard’s Hospice on Saturday, May 21.
It is hoped the family fun day will raise more than £20,000 for the Worcester hospice’s work with patients who have cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, as well as providing support for their families.
All ages and fitness levels will be catered for, with routes ranging from a two-mile stroll to five and 11 miles for keen walkers.
St Richard’s Hospice community fund-raiser Phillippa Jones said: “It is great fun for those taking part, but in addition, the money raised makes such a big difference to helping us continue our work.”
There is no entry fee for the event, but entrants are asked to donate their sponsorship money to the charity. Registration closes on Monday.
To take part in the walk, call 01905 763963 or download the registration form from strichards.org.uk/malvern walk.
