A MAN has appeared in court for allegedly growing 74 cannabis plants.
Simon Beardsley, aged 46, of Lower Chase Road, Malvern, did not indicate a plea to six drugs charges when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester.
The charges are that he produced 74 plants of cannabis between July 31 and December 26, that he produced those plants with the intention of supplying cannabis, that he supplied cannabis between August 31 and December 23 last year, supplied cannabis on December 23 last year, had in his possession a quantity of amphetamine on December 24 last year and that he dishonestly used without authority electricity between July 31 and December 26 last year.
He was granted unconditional bail. The case is scheduled to be committed to Worcester Crown Court.
