PRESIDENT Sheila Williams welcomed members and visitors to our resolutions meeting.

A reply had been received from Worcestershire County Council regarding our bus petition stating that amended proposals will affect 25 bus services instead of the original 75.

The council proposes keeping the 350 Redditch to Worcester service with timetable revisions and a revised route into Redditch.

Members agreed to support this proposal.

Our May outing is to Madresfield Court, near Malvern.

Reports were given on the meeting held at Bentley Pauncefoot and the group meeting at Cookhill when members dressed in wedding finery to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Inkberrow First School is inviting 35 retired members of the community to enjoy a meal with the pupils who have raised money for the lunch by holding a sporting event.

The oak tree that was planted to mark our 90th birthday is growing well and a plaque will be placed by the tree for future information.

We then moved onto the two national resolutions covering mega farms and the closure of public libraries.

Our next meeting will be held on June 1 at 7.30pm in the village hall. The speaker is Bill Davies.

All welcome.
