THE mother of a young boy looked after by a Worcester hospice has praised the charity and says her son can not wait for its annual triple run.
Josh Loader and his family are veteran supporters of the Acorns Triple Run and will join hundreds of people taking part in this year’s event on Sunday, May 29.
His mum Bev will take Josh on the wheelchair-friendly Chicken Run.
Mrs Loader, aged 36, of Powick, near Worcester, has respite care for Josh, who is life-limited following a massive seizure when he was aged just two.
She said: “Josh is limited in the things he can do, but he loves being pushed in the wind. The Triple Run gives him such enjoyment and it is so important to raise money for Acorns Children’s Hospice, which does a fantastic job in giving us all the respite we need.
“Until you are in this situation you don’t know how difficult it is. Josh was a normal little boy when I put him to bed and then seizures left him with brain damage.
“I used to wonder how people managed. Now it has happened to us and we understand.”
