BUSINESS leaders breathed a sigh of relief as power was restored following a power cut ahead of the busy Valentine's day weekend.
The power is back on in Worcester city centre after a power cut which affected central Worcester and Malvern shortly before 3am today.
The lights were back on by 1pm after repairs were made by Central Networks to fix an underground cable fault.
Adrian Field, business manager for Worcester BID (Business Improvement District), said: "We have had a lot of businesses affected.
"For jewellers like H Samuel and Lisa Chambers it is the busiest weekend of the year ahead of Valentines Day.
"It's good news that everything is now back on. The power is back on and all the traffic lights are working."
