MORE than 100 people and 80 dogs met at Hanbury Hall for a Woofs and Wellies walk in aid of St Richard’s Hospice.

People and their pets could choose to do one of three routes – five miles, three miles or one-and-a-half miles – and while a total has not yet been announced, the event raised more than £1,000 for the hospice.

Senior community fund-raiser Alison Parkes said: “Everyone really enjoyed whichever route they chose to do.

“The weather was dry but very windy, but everyone enjoyed being outside in the beautiful surrounds of Hanbury Hall.

“We’re very grateful to the hall for letting us host the event and to MacArthur, Barstow & Gibbs veterinary surgeons of Droitwich and Claines, who provided goodie bags for the dogs.”
