A WORCESTERSHIRE cinema in the final phase of restoration is appealing for help to restore it to its former glory.

The Regal Cinema, Evesham, is hoping the community will come out and help it clean up on Thursday, from 10am to 1pm.

The cleaning products will all be supplied by Ecover, a brand which prides itself on its ecological credentials.

Laurence Wiper, manager of the restoration project, said: “We have been overwhelmed with the support and involvement from the local community, and now we have Ecover on board, it is fantastic.

“We hope to see lots of local faces, so come down and get involved.”

Emma Bennetts, brand manager at Ecover, said: “We thought it was fantastic that the local community is right behind the restoration of the venue for people to enjoy once again.

“We wanted to get involved and do more to help than just give away products, and that’s why the Ecover team will be getting their hands dirty with the Regal team and taking part in this wonderful project.”

The grade two-listed art deco cinema has undergone a huge restoration project and will eventually boast not only a cinema, but also a restaurant and two art galleries.
