NORTHSIDE Tigers booked a place in the Worcestershire FA Under 14s Cup semi-finals with a 2-1 win over Nunnery Wood Panthers.

Unbeaten Cheltenham Youth League leaders Panthers fell behind to John Lee’s header from a Ross Joyner corner.

Tigers keeper Slater Evis- Cannaway and his defence were excellent, while Charlie McKee was player-of-the-match.

Panthers levelled 10 minutes from the end when Harry Clark nodded in Jamie Smith’s corner but Brandon Beasant drove home a late winner.

à Sam Harris scored the only goal as Nunnery Wood Merlins Under Nines beat Bewdley Comrades 1-0 in the Stourport Youth League.

Merlins keeper Niall Southwick tipped over an effort before Harris drilled home the only goal after Alec Francis intercepted a poor clearance.

Player-of-the-match Harry Jarrard and Adam Smith broke up play well at the back.

UNDER 10s: Nunnery Wood Scorpions scored all the goals in the first 10 minutes as they beat Bewdley Town 3-1.

Harry Cotterill slid home Harry Saunders’ pass in the second minute and then added a second from a corner.

Cotterill was denied his hattrick but James Francis buried the rebound before Scorpions eased off and player-ofthe- match, keeper Jake Williams, restricted Bewdley to one goal.

Determined Nunnery Wood Leopards drew 0-0 with midtable Ferndale Youth.

Player-of-the-match was Dan Lonagon as improving Leopards passed well and supported each other.

à Warndon Villages Cougars dropped their first points of the season with a 3-3 draw at Malvern Town Wanderers in Mercian Festival Junior League Under 10s Division Two.

Cougars went 2-0 up with an own goal headed from Dan Jones’ free-kick and a Cory Burrow finish.

An own goal and fine saves from the visitors’ keeper and player-of-the-match Joshua Baker ensured it was 3-1 at the break but the hosts earned a point in the second-half with the equaliser arriving two minutes from time.

UNDER 12s: Warndon Villages Leopards tasted defeat for the first time in Division Two with a 3-2 loss at Malvern Town Wanderers.

Centre-half Alex Stokoe and midfielder Ben Hunt, who gave Leopards an early 1-0 lead as they kicked down the slope in the first-half, shared the player-of-the-match vote.

Callum McDougall restored the lead after Town levelled but the hosts fought back again to win the game.

à Warndon Villages Sharks powered past GVR Chalford 6- 0 in Cheltenham Youth League Under 13s Division One.

Jai Gilchrist, James Ridge, Matt Sowden, Connor Thomasson, Kieran Burns and James Stevens scored the goals.

Nunnery Wood Tigers lost 3-0 at leaders Swindon Village Bowmen Blues.
