ONE person was taken to hospital and two others were treated by paramedics after a garage fire broke out in Bromyard yesterday.

The three were suffering from smoke inhalation and while they were treated at the scene in Firs Lane one had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire at 12.30pm involving several garages containing a car, a number of tyres and a number of cylinders.

Two appliances from Bromyard attended the scene and the incident commander requested four more appliances from Worcester, Hereford and Malvern.

Special appliances also attended from Upton, Stourport and Malvern.
