PEOPLE in Worcestershire are being thanked for playing their part in raising £1.3 million for a children’s charity.
The NSPCC’s festive Letter from Santa campaign raised the money by giving people the chance to send someone special a magical letter from Father Christmas for a suggested donation of £5.
More than 192,900 letters were sent and all money raised will go towards supporting the charity’s national helpline services – ChildLine and the NSPCC Helpline.
Sarah Williams, NSPCC local fund-raising manager, said: “We’re so grateful to everyone in Worcestershire who supported our Letter from Santa campaign.
“Every single donation received will help the NSPCC deliver both its local and national services, and will make a huge difference for thousands of vulnerable children who so desperately need our support.”
