THE chief executive of a Worcester housing group is to trek across Tanzania to work alongside a homeless charity.
Pat Brandum, of WM Housing Group, – of which Nexus Housing is part of – is joining a 10-day community challenge run by Homeless International. The UK charity builds homes for those living in slums in Africa and Asia.
During her visit, she will work on a community project in Arusha, supported by the charity’s Tanzanian partner – The Centre for Community Initiatives.
Ms Brandum, of Solihull, West Midlands, said: “This is an incredible opportunity and a huge challenge.
“I am hoping this is going to be a great learning experience.”
