THE man charged with causing a crash that left a Worcester man fighting for his life has been remanded in custody.

Marc Price, aged 23, is charged with intentionally causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) to Darren Parkinson and attempting to cause GBH to Joseph Collins in the same crash.

Mr Parkinson remains in a critical but stable condition at Coventry’s Walsgrave Hospital after Sunday afternoon’s crash.

Price, of Tolladine Road, Worcester, did not enter a plea when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court yesterday and the case was committed to Worcester Crown Court.

He was remanded in custody until his hearing on Monday, May 9.

As recently reported in your Worcester News, police were called to the crash in Carnforth Drive, Brickfields, near the Kirkby Gardens junction, at 1.47pm.

Mr Parkinson was riding a stolen green 125cc Kawasaki belonging to Price when a green Citroen Saxo is said to have been in collision with the bike.

Mr Collins, a passenger on the bike, was unhurt in the crash but police confirmed that neither of the men was wearing a helmet at the time.
