A WORCESTER school has proudly unveiled a 500-tile mural to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

The mural, painted by the Oldbury Park Primary School pupils last year, was completed with the help of Malvern’s pottery painting studio, Green Frog Pottery.

Headteacher Anna Streather said: “We are absolutely thrilled with our new mural.

“Every child in the school painted their own tile and they have come together to produce this stunning piece of commemorative art.

“The children love spotting their own tiles as they walk past.”

The mural was painted on the theme of “Our Environment”, with each class choosing a different element.

The completed mural is on display in the school’s refurbished entrance hall.

Carrie Wright, of Green Frog Pottery, said: “It was lovely working with all the children and teachers at the school.

“Each ceramic tile is a miniature work of art – which all come together to make a striking mural.”

Green Frog Pottery has recently finished commemorative murals at Worcester’s St Clement’s Primary School, St Joseph’s Primary School in Droitwich and a second mural at Malvern’s Somers Park Primary School.
