CHER Lloyd and Cheryl Cole arrived hand-in-hand at the 17-year-old’s Malvern home today.

The pop starlet and her X Factor mentor stepped out of a black people carrier vehicle and into Cher’s family home without stopping to sign autographs, but Cher later peeked out of an upstairs window to wave at her screaming fans.

Well over 100 people waited in the freezing cold to catch a glimpse of the young rapper arriving home.

Mum and dad, Dinah and Darren, waited inside the house along with Cher’s siblings and grandparents, while more family and friends lined the pavements.

For family friend Joanne Kerr waiting in sub-zero temperatures was more than worthwhile.

“We’ve been so excited about Cher coming home,” said Mrs Kerr, who had Cher sing at her wedding three years ago.

“We’ve missed her so much. We always knew she’d make it, she just needed someone to give her that big break.”

Cher’s brother Josh, who turned 16 on Monday, was chuffed that Cheryl gave him a big hug, while her little sister Sophie said: “I’m too excited to be cold!”

The Lloyd home in Malvern Link had been decorated with posters, banners and balloons, while a Worcester News Vote4Cher t-shirt was hanging in a window. The crowd joined in too, waving posters and chanting ‘We want Cher’.

The youngster, Cheryl and the X Factor film crew stayed inside the house for about an hour and a half before heading back into their car and towards the Three Counties Showground for tonight's concert.
