IT was lights, camera, action for this shop manager as the X Factor team once again rolled into Malvern.
Londis assistant manager Phil Partridge will have a starring role in the Xtra Factor this weekend – talking about Cher Lloyd’s shopping habits.
The X Factor contestant used to pop into the shop in Yates Hay Road, Malvern Link, almost daily with her family or quickly after school.
“I always had a bit of banter with Cher – I always called her ‘missy’ and things – but I have to say I call everybody ‘missy’,” said Mr Partridge.
And when the Xtra Factor cameras decided to go to Malvern to find out a bit more about where Cher grew up, she personally asked them to interview Mr Partridge.
Mr Partridge said: “Cher’s dad Darren came in on Friday and said Cher had asked if I would mind being in front of the camera.
“My family thought I was winding them up when I told them.”
Mr Partridge, of St John’s, Worcester, also had the foresight to ask for Cher’s autograph for his 13-year-old daughter Chloe before she was whisked off to London back in September.
“It’s now pride of place on her bedroom wall,” he said.
• It is believed the interview will go out on ITV’s Xtra Factor on Sunday at 9pm.
