A HAIRDRESSER has taken the plunge for charity and is now hooked on parachute jumping.
Kelly Hall raised more than £500 for Marshall Gormley, who is recovering from a perforated bowel after getting cancer, by completing her first jump.
The 26-year-old, of Glenthorne Avenue, Brickfields, said: "It is the first time I have done anything like this and I was excited, but nervous at the same time. But it went really well and I can't wait to do it again."
The money raised will be put towards a trip to Paris for Marshall and his family.
Kelly's mother, Sandra Hall, the landlady of the Bridge Inn, Lowesmoor Terrace, Worcester, has also been doing her bit. She hosted a marathon pub games session, which raised more than £1,000 for Marshall.
Ann Mapp, Marshall's mum, confirmed that the family, of Borrowdale Drive, Warndon, would put any further money raised towards a trip to see Mickey Mouse and friends.
She said: "He would love to go to Disneyland, Paris. Hopefully, we will be able to take Marshall at the start of next year, when he is a lot better."
