THEY formed as teenagers at the height of the punk rock era, helping to launch indie label Cherry Red Records - and now lively band The Tights are set to take to the stage in Worcester for a gig.
The Malvern punksters formed in 1977 and toured for four years, achieving national success before splitting in 1981. During that period they signed to Cherry Red, releasing their first single, Bad Hearts, in June 1978.
It wasn't until in late 2004 that original members Malcolm Orgee and bassist Barry Island fixed up a reunion gig in Worcester to run through their hits.
They will be playing the Marr's Bar in Pierpoint Street at 8pm tonight, supported by The Berts.
Tickets are £5 on the door.
