A GROUP of part-time models from Worcester have all struck a pose to appear in a charity calendar.
Nicola Long, of Warndon, got the 12 women together to raise funds for the stillbirth and neonatal death charity SANDS.
Miss Long, aged 36, who works as a body piercer at the Forever Ink tattoo shop in Broad Street, produced a calendar last year to raise money for the MS Society in memory of her brother Mark, who died aged 30.
She said: “I have decided to do it for SANDS this year because it is a charity you don’t hear much about and it will be good to try to raise its profile.
“It was brilliant doing the pictures for the calendar. Some of us appeared in last year’s, but some of the girls had never done anything like this before so it was great for them having their hair and make-up done professionally.”
Miss Long features in the 2011 calendar with Kate Hindley, 36, of Northwick; Adele Whatmore, 22, of Barbourne; Tina Finch, 32, of Warndon; Fiona Harrison, 33, of Lowesmoor; Charlotte Pingriff, 32, of Wyld’s Lane and Jacqui Ryland, 24, of Bath Road.
The pictures were taken at the City Gym in Worcester by photographer Steve Fletcher.
The calendar will be available to buy from the end of this month and all proceeds will go to SANDS. Local businesses provided sponsorship to help fund the cost of putting the calendar together.
It will be on sale from Pixie Kiss in Angel Place, Forever Ink, Lowesmoor Reptiles, City Gym and at nikkij.webs.com.
