TELEVISION licence fee-payers in Worcester who bought their most recent one at the Post Office are being reminded to plan ahead when it comes to renewing it.
TV Licensing has issued the advice to the near-9,500 licence fee payers in the city as only just over a week remains until over-the-counter sales of licences transfer to PayPoint from the Post Office.
After Monday, July 31, if people want to buy a licence over the counter, they will be able to do so wherever they see the PayPoint sign, in shops and stores, but will not be able to do so at the Post Office. There are already more than 15,000 PayPoint outlets nationwide.
TV Licensing is also reminding those who currently save towards the cost of their TV licence using TV Licence savings stamps that they should transfer their value on to their new savings card before July 31 at the Post Office.
After that date, stamps will still retain their value and can be used towards payment of a licence, or can be refunded, by contacting TV Licensing directly. TV Licensing savings stamps can no longer be bought at the Post Office.
The nearest PayPoint outlet can be found by logging on to: www.paypoint.co.uk/locator or by calling 0870 850 7846. People can also log on to: www.tvlicensing.co.uk
