YOUNGSTERS, your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to read six books a week during the summer holidays as a part of this year's reading challenge from Worcestershire County Council.
The challenge, called Mission Possible, which started last Monday, is hoping to attract and inspire hundreds of children across the county to read more.
Phil Adams, manager of St John's Library, said: "Reading opens up kids' imaginations, gets them to enter a new world, and helps development at school."
All who manage to successfully complete the mission will be rewarded with a medal at a special party.
A quiz based on spy novels has also been devised for parents, guardians, and carers to win a digital camera. Entry forms are at all local libraries. The contest ends on Thursday, August 31.
