RECEPTION pupils James Gregory and Mia Fouweather tied the knot at the tender age of five.
The mock wedding took place at St Andrew’s Church, Ombersley, near Worcester. ‘Mr’ and ‘Mrs’ Gregory’ are pupils at Ombersley Endowed First School.
Ruth Osborn, teacher and wedding planner said: “I thought it would be nice to hold a mock wedding because the whole class could have a role to play. The class voted Mia and James as bride and groom – they’ve been friends since they were babies.”
After the ceremony there was a wedding reception held at the school.
When your Worcester News asked Mrs Osborn if she thought the marriage would last, she said: “It is possible, but we will have to wait until they are 20 at least to see if there will be a second ceremony.”
