VOTERS are being told not to be sheepish about voting in the forthcoming General Election.
Wychavon District Council is employing a cartoon sheep emblazoned on the side of its refuse vehicles in a high-profile campaign to get people to the ballot box on Thursday, May 6.
They are reminding registered voters to keep an eye out for their polling cards.
Amanda de Warr, democratic services manager, said: “MP’s make the big decisions which have an impact on all our lives and we want to encourage everyone to turn out and make their voice heard.”
Poll cards are sent to every registered voter telling them where their polling station is and some key information about the election.
People who have already applied to vote by post will also receive a card reminding them that they will be voting by post.
Anyone who hasn't received their card by Thursday, April 15, should contact their council to check they are on the electoral register.
Anyone not registered only has until Tuesday, April 20, to make an application. This date is also the deadline for anyone wishing to apply to vote by post.
