KINGTON remained on course to claim the Crusader Worcestershire League division one title after a convincing 99-run victory over Barnards Green.

Ben Stebbings (50 and David Exall (58) were the mainstays of Kington's 277-8, while Andrew Ford and Chris Smedley took four wickets each for Barnards Green. However, Owen Price's 4-43 was enough to seal victory for the Herefordshire side.

Second-placed Droitwich kept up the pressure on Kington with a seven-wicket triumph over basement boys Romsley.

Andy Van Vurren bagged 4-56 as the strugglers were skittled out for 143. Aussie Josh Staines then hit an unbeaten 79 to see the Spa outfit home.

Reuben Rivers-Smith put in a fine all-round performance for Pershore, but they could only manage a winning draw against Bewdley.

Rivers-Smith first hit 57 in his side's 247-5 before claiming 4-101 to restrict Bewdley to 211-8.

Sam Howell (54) and Lee Wilks (78no) also starred for Pershore, but Simon Smith (64) and Jonathon Boult (4-102) salvaged a draw for their side.

In division two, David Apperley's 100 not out was not enough to prevent Avoncroft from losing to Malvern. Mark Baugh (69no) took Malvern past Avoncroft's 199-8.

Simon Harris and Liam O'Driscoll both hit unbeaten centuries as Worcester Nomads secured an emphatic nine-wicket win over Netherton.

Dominic Harris took 5-61 as Netherton posted 253 all out, but Nomads strolled to victory for the loss of just one wicket.

Arti Fiaz hit a fine 120 for Old Vigornians in division three south, but Martley managed to record a narrow victory.

Fiaz's innings led his side to 259-8, but John Greaves (61) and Patrick Bibby (52) managed to see their side home by one wicket.

Third-placed Colwall enjoyed a winning draw over second-placed Monmouth, thanks to a century from David Powell. Tom Wolfendale (87) and Nick Panniers (53) also added to Colwall's 309-5. However, Robert Prewett (79no) and David Teague (51) helped Monmouth to 237-5.

Jon Sprague hit 75 in Old Elizabethans' winning draw over Tenbury. OEs posted 298-8 before restricting Tenbury to 253-9.

In division four, Kidderminster Victoria thrashed Hewell by a massive 290 runs.

Kidderminster hit 362-6 declared with Paul Mitchell (92), Adrian Miller (82), Simon Trickett (75) and Glyn Thomas (56) all contributing. Hewell were then bundled out for just 72.
