MALVERN Rugby Club's senior squad are in full training for the new season, sessions taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm.
Players of all standards, including those at U17 level, are welcome, as are any rugby players who have moved into the area.
The aim is to put a squad into the Droitwich Tens tournament on Sunday, August 13.
There will then be a pre-season training match against Old Patesians, the Cheltenham-based National league side, which counts former Malvern winger Rob Young among the playing staff. The game will take place at 6pm on Thursday, August 17.
Director of rugby Dave Robins is trying to arrange a further match on Saturday, September 2, Stevenage having pulled out of their pre-season tour.
Malvern seconds kick-off with a September 2 game at Spring Lane against Worcester Wanderers, whilst the Malvern Angels play Worcester Ladies Seconds on Sunday, September 3, at home. They open their league campaign against Greyhound away the following Sunday.
