GUEST riders Rob Wood and Gavin Poupart took first and second places in last week's Velo Club Sevale cycling time trial, leaving club member Brian Boswell to take third.
Rob Wood's time of 21min 57sec was only 16 seconds outside the course record set by his namesake Tim in 2001. This was Rob's first ride for some months and he is obviously recovering well from his viral infection.
The full results were: R Wood 21.57, G Poupart 22.16, B Boswell 23.47, T Ashworth 24.19, D Preece 24.27, S O'Toole 24.49, B Mellor 25.28, S Price 27.21, T Knight 27.32, G O'Mahoney 28.32, D Yapp 28.44, W Douglas 29.12, M Burrows 29.59, A Rhymer 31.07, T Moseley 32.34.
The next event is a 15-mile time trial on Thursday (August 10), starting at 7pm from Castlemorton Common.
