MATHON, Cradley and Storridge Tennis Club's mixed A team completed their summer league fixtures with a good 3-1 win over visiting Belbroughton.
Once again, it was the pairing of Christine Brandon-White and Duncan Hannaford, who won both their rubbers, recording an excellent three set win over the Belbroughton first pair 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 and a comfortable 6-0, 6-1 win over the second pair, but then lost to the first pair 1-6, 4-6.
Earlier in the month, the team had recorded a 4-0 win against Ombersley, but had also suffered a 0-4 defeat to Ledbury.
The team's record for the season was: played 6, won 4, lost 2, which should be good enough to see them hold their place in the division.
The following players have represented the team during the season: Carol Dandy, Ursula Mason, Christine Brandon-White, Janet Brown, Duncan Hannaford and Chris Brandon-White.
The winter league season, which starts in October, will see MCS up against Bewdley, Pershore, Evesham, Ledbury and Blakedown.
