WORCESTER Golf and Coun-try Club's James Newman claimed two junior open titles in the space of three days.
He won best gross at The Worcestershire and then repeated the feat at his home course to qualify for the Daily Telegraph Junior Golf Cham-pionship.
Newman was one of 30 entrants from the Boughton Park club to take part in the Daily Telegraph competition, including five girls.
The final will be held in Dubai and previous winners include European Tour stars Justin Rose and Andrew Coltart.
Worcester's female qualifier was Zoe Edwards from South Herefordshire Golf Club. Both Newman and Edwards were given Nike-sponsored shirts, and all competitors received a voucher from JJB Sports.
The overall winner of the club's Captain's Cup with a net 65 was 13-year-old Max Begley from Worcester Golf and Country Club.
The Worcestershire club's Stan McCabe Trophy was won by Nigel Mills and Robin Darch with 46 stableford points.
The Professionals Cup and Left-Handers Cup both went to Leigh Canham with a net 67.
Defending club champion Jamie Dunster took a four- shot lead into the final round and came out on top in both the gross and net competitions, winning The Chance and Schweppes Cup with scores of 146 and 139 respectively.
In the Malvern Wells club's Hollins Cup stableford competition, Helen Thomas came in with an excellent score of 40 points to win the cup followed by Pat Rose with 36 points. The pair also came first and second in their division.
Betty Hakes won division one and Pat Fletcher division three.
The July Medal and Scratch Cups were played simultaneously with Cathy Harris winning the Silver Division Cup and medal.
Jan Kirkland won the Bronze Cup but was beaten into second place by Jan Strain who won the medal. April Wilding won the division three section. Harris also qualifies as the club representative in the Birmingham Mail Woman Golfer of the year.
The Scott Cup, played over 36 holes was won by Kirkland with a nett score of 145. Pauline Belsham finished second with 147.
Away from home Diane Meakin gained her County Colours with Worcestershire's second team.
In the Junior Open, best gross went to Newman ahead of James Kear and the best net to Richard Tuck ahead of Lee Jenkins.
The gentleman's mid-week medal division one went to Andy Longley with a net 69 closely followed by Derry Hanratty and Dave Turner both on 70.
Division Two was won by Don Alban with a net 67 from Barry Davies on 69.
