More than 200 people who attended last Friday's WestFest fundraising evening at the Lamb Inn raised over £1,100 towards the cost of this year's event on August 28.
Meanwhile, WestFest T-shirts are now available to buy at £6.50, which will give you free admission to the Bank Holiday Monday event itself plus a saving of £1 on the price of a T-shirt on the day.

There will be another car boot sale on the upper playing field this Sunday from 10am-2pm, with the usual features - tombola, refreshments etc. Admission is free, booters (£5) can set up from 9am.
The Royal British Legion is also planning a quiz night for Saturday week, August 12, from 8pm, admission £2 to include food.

Last autumn, five nesting boxes donated by the Garden & Nature Club were put up in trees in the Community Woodland off Old Hollow. Regular walkers are asked to report any signs of bird activity they may see in or around the boxes to Eric Hollands on 563702 or email erichollands@aol.com.
