A MALVERN woman who accidentally gave away a favourite book of her husband's is appealing for its return.
Christine Shepherd, of St Andrews Road, was having a clear-out and took a load of books to the Oxfam shop, Church Street.
Among them was a dictionary of music that husband Terence was given as a school prize.
He found out it was missing when he went to consult it.
"I just feel so bad about it," said Mrs Shepherd.
The book is a Percy Scholes Edition Concise Dictionary of Music, and inside is an inscription recording its presentation to Mr Shepherd.
"As soon as I found out, I went up to the Oxfam shop, but it wasn't there and they said it was the sort of thing that goes quickly," she said.
She is appealing for the person who bought it to return it.
"I'd certainly buy them a bottle of wine," she said.
