THE services of an RNLI Upton branch member have been recognised with an award.
Peter Mahoney received the bronze badge for services to the charity from national committee member Vic Cocker at a ceremony at Stone Manor Hotel, Kidderminster, during its annual conference.
When the RNLI Pershore branch closed and merged with Upton, Mr Mahoney was co-opted onto the committee as the official link with Pershore.
He was appointed flag day officer in 2002 and has organised the flag day and house-to-house collection in Pershore single-handedly since 2001.
