Having read E M Peturson's letter (Your Letters, July 28), I felt compelled to reply.
Why do we have this witch-hunt against mobile phone masts? People have a right to consider their health issues, but they should not be so blinkered. There are many microwave link systems dotted around the country already, nobody bats an eyelid!
Malvern had its famous landmark radar dish off Longridge Road, do people think that went round and round for fun?
The output power from cell phone masts is very low. The TV repeater on the side of the Malverns transmits at up to 850 MHz with an output of 2000 Watts, that's right 2KW, and has been doing so for many decades.
Look at the bigger picture before becoming a NIMBY.
