A FAST-GROWING Kidderminster business is creating jobs after buying extra premises.
Up to 10 people could be recruited in an on-going employment drive by Cornercare, to add to the 43 people already working for the business.
The German-owned firm manufactures a range of products for the plastering and drylining industry at its Birchen Coppice Trading Estate site and has bought extra premises on the Oldington Trading Estate.
Managing director, Les Pugh, said the provision of additional machinery by the German parent company had led to the need for more workers.
"Our parent company sent over a new production line and then sent another one, based at Birchen Coppice," he explained, adding: "We have started to manufacture a few new different products."
In terms of recruitment, he said: "We have just started somebody in sales and we started another person a few months ago. That's two additional people within sales.
"Then we will probably have had, maybe, six to eight people extra here, at least, over recent months."
Skilled people were in demand by the company, according to Mr Pugh, who said: "If somebody is skilled as a machine operator in the field we are in, we would take them on."
With growth continuing, he foresaw the need for a new factory, with two years left on the lease of the premises at Birchen Coppice.
"We have outgrown where we are and know that between now and two years from now we're going to be looking at having a new factory," he said.
