A GROUP who have earned themselves a large following in the area after their recent performances are being brought back for another by popular demand.
Stretton-on-Fosse Village Hall will play host to the Park Bench Social Club, made up of Ross Couper on violin, Will Lang on bodhran and Aidan Curran on guitar and vocals.
The session takes place on Tuesday, August 15.
The first time The Bench performed was when they stepped in at very short notice to plug a gap in the Celts in the Cotswolds festival earlier this year. In doing so, they earned rave reviews.
The performance at Stretton is part of a tour where they will also take in the Sidmouth Folk Festival.
The Bench use a whole host of musical genres in their music and describe themselves as a mish-mash of ideas from Scottish trad fiddle to bluegrass guitar and bhangra bodhran. This is shown in the diverse influences on their career, ranging from Snoop to The Dixie Chicks.
Tickets are priced at £8 on the door or £7 in advance. For further details, contact Keith and Sue Finlay on 01608 661157 or sue.finlay12@btinternet. com.
