MEMBERS of Pershore's horticultural fraternity are waiting with bated breath to find out what sort of award they will receive for their flower arranging efforts.
Two judges from Britain in Bloom arrived in Pershore last week to tour the town, visiting various venues and giving their opinions on the standard of plants and flowers on show.
The judges Les Goodman and David Wassell began the tour at Pershore College before dropping in on the residents of Roland Rutter Court to have a look at the hanging baskets, Holy Redeemer Primary School, Heathlands nursing home and onto Pershore High Street.
Pershore in Bloom organiser Jill Liley said: "We were very pleased with how the day went all in all and the standard was very high. The judges seemed to be impressed as well and were giving us lots of advice on how to improve in future years and get more people involved to make our efforts better again next year."
The organisers are hoping to achieve a silver medal this year and will find out how they have fared on Friday, September 1 at a special awards day.
