A GANG of four teenage girl vandals were being hunted by police in Evesham this week.
An investigation was launched after a number of cars parked in the town's Fairfield Place were attacked between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
The windscreen wipers were ripped from a number of vehicles, including a silver Vauxhall Vectra, and a burgundy Ford Mondeo.
The damage is believed to have been done between 5pm last Saturday and 8.30am on Sunday.
A neighbour reported that four girls had been seen near the damaged cars at around 4am on Sunday.
In another incident at Fairfield Place, another resident later reported to the police that, awoken by noise between 4am and 4.15am on Sunday morning, he saw three girls in Fairfield Place, one of whom was stood in front of his car. When he challenged them they ran off, throwing something into his neighbour's garden as they went.
On checking later the man discovered that the off-side windscreen wiper had broken from his silver Hyundai Lantra estate and he was able to recover it from his neighbour's garden.
The girls were described as between 16 and 18-years-old and were 'wearing skirts as if they were on their way back from town.'
Police would like to hear from local residents or other members of the community who saw or heard anything suspicious in Fairfield Place at the relevant times or can identify the teenage girls.
