VOLUNTEER drivers are being sought by Age Concern's day centre in Evesham to offer up some free time to help deliver meals to older people in the area with confusional illnesses.
The centre is looking for a volunteer driver, or drivers to share the role, to collect meals for clients at lunchtimes.
The day centre is open five days a week and volunteers will be required to use their own vehicles to collect meals for a maximum of 10 people on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
A typical day for the volunteer would mean leaving the day centre at around 11.45am to collect meals from Ferryview sheltered housing complex, duties would last for around 30 minutes.
Alison Leggett, Age Concern's day centre manager, said: "This is a lovely opportunity for someone with some time to spare to make a real difference to the lives of the clients of our day centre and to join a team of friendly, supportive staff and volunteers, and help with the invaluable work they carry out.
"All travel expenses to and from the day centre, and those incurred while collecting meals are paid."
For an informal chat about the role contact Alison at the Church Street day centre on 01386 422350.
