THE on running Phil Gulliver transfer saga between Heref- ord United and Rushden and Diamonds has taken another twist with the Northamptonshire club claiming the centre-half has rejoined the Bulls.
Gulliver signed for Hereford on a free transfer but returned to Rushden after it emerged the Conference club had offered him a contract and could command a fee for him, believed to be in the region of £30,000.
Hereford supremo Graham Turner was not prepared to pay that sort of figure and the deal looked over.
However, a statement on the Rushden official website said an agreement acceptable to all parties had been reached over the transfer.
It continued: "Phil has now returned to Hereford."
