WORCESTER Warriors skipper Pat Sanderson has been named in England's 55-strong Elite Player Squad.

The flanker will link up with the national squad for training camps at Loughborough University in September and October with further dates to be approved by England Rug-by Limited.

Sanderson's inclusion is no surprise, given he captained England for their summer tour of Australia. But he was left out of the same squad last season before forcing his way back in time for the autumn internationals.

He is the only Worcester player in a senior squad that also includes former Wigan Warriors rugby league legend Andy Farrell and World Cup-winning outside-half Jonny Wilkinson.
