THE razzamatazz of street theatre is about to come to Bromsgrove again offering a feast of free entertainment for all the family.
Every Wednesday throughout August will be jam-packed with fun and frolics for all.
Bromsgrove's town centre Recreation Ground will be a-buzz with lots of things to do and see, including top class acts like Heir of Insanity, De Ramos Acrobats, the Black Eagles and Circo Rum Ba Ba's deep sea adventure with its mammoth whale.
New this year will be Herbie Treehead's Dinosaur Show and Bruce Airhead's Balloon Show - the sky really is the limit.
As well as a host of must-see headline acts, there will be plenty of other attractions including children's artwork, circus skills and workshops, face painting, mendhi painting, hair braiding and rural crafts.
Sponsored by Focal Image of Bromsgrove, the fun starts at 10am on Wednesdays the 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 August, with the main performances at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm, finishing at 2.30pm on the first four days and 4.30pm on the final day.
Deputy council leader June Griffiths said: "Please come along and join us. Each year thousands of people from near and far visit the town to make the most of the summer.
"Bromsgrove Council has been running the street theatre now for 11 years and each year it gets bigger and better. This year will be no exception. We are offering the best there is in outdoor entertainment. Come and enjoy yourselves and make a day of it," she added.
Anyone wanting to know more details about the street theatre should ring Huw Moseley, the council's arts development manager, on 01527 881381.
